Default PVC necessary?

My question is about the PCV** valve, located in between 2 runners of the intake mani, connecting a ventilation hose from the top of the intake mani to the black box on the back of the block. Would I have any issues just running a hose directly between them (no PCV** in the middle)?

Why remove it? You need a pcv or you'll get blowby I think and oil in ur intake

It also keeps air flow one way helping the engine breath. Yes running no Pcv will affect in a negative way

You dont really have to put the pcv between the intake runners. I put my pcv on the black box then just ran a hose to the intake.
If you dont have a PCV oil will just go to your intake manifold like what they were saying.
and you dont want that.

They're like 8$ new just get a new one shake your old one if it rattles its still good if it doesn't it means the check valve is clogged/malfunctioned replace it.

I recommend removing and plug all the hoses related to the pcv valve. Vent the engine thru the back nipple.

Eliminate all sources for oil to get into the intake / combustion chamber.

Funny how you guys say you don't want oil in the intake. The pcv calve system is what puts oil into the intake. Get rid of it.

Hey Tyson!
Doesn't the lower pressure/vacuum of the intake help pull the blow-by gasses out of the crank case at low RPM though?

On a stock or nearly stock car, the oil vapors in the crankcase really won't do much to your performance. The built-in separator on the back of the block does just fine.
On a high performance engine, you need something to remove the oil out of the vapors. That's where a catch can is used.

why do you need to pull in the blow by gases? by default, its blowing the gases out as the pressure builds and releases as needed.

why does the oiling chamber of an engine need "fresh air" anyyway?

the PCV system was invented to satisfy 1970's tree huggers to eliminate petroleum based vapors released into the air. its solution is to throw those dirty vapors back into the engine.

this along with the charcoal canister can be completely removed for the better of the engine.
