Leaking fuel line on 2001 Civic
Hey guys,
My buddy has a leaking fuel line on his civic. I removed the seat and access panel inside the car and could see nothing, but when I reached in the whole following the fuel connection on top towards the front of the car I could feel that the line was broken and pouring out fuel.
So my question is, how exactly do these lines run? I'm going to be fixing it with him tomorrow, I just want to have an idea of what I'm getting into. How does it run up to the tank? Are the lines rubber or steel along the length of the car? I couldn't get a good look at the lines (was getting dark and the car is filthy underneath).
Basically I just need some insight on what I'm going to have to do to replace this line.
Thanks for any advice guys, let me know if you need more info.

Could I suggest you look at a diagram from a site such as honda accessories. It may help out. I also used rubber line to replace a section of fuel line on my sons 1993 Civic.
I couldn't find any diagrams. But a question then,
Could I just cut out the leaking section and replace with a rubber hose? I'd like to go down below the tank so that I don't have to drop the tank and can just cut the line at the top and run a hose down to where I can work underneath the car.
Are the lines that run the length of the car metal? Like are they something I can cut and put a rubber hose onto?

The fuel line is steel, but i wouldnt just replace a rubber piece for safety issue. The rubber hose can deteriorate or can be cut by a foreign object.
Thats just me and ill replace the whole line.

but I see what you're saying. Is there anyone who sells that whole line? As far as I can tell, and from the diagram below (thanks) it's one big line from the tank up to the front.
I wouldn't know where to find a length of steel like that around here.
