Default whats this doo-hickie??

I've searched and searched and searched but just can't figure out what this thing on the top of my tranny is or what its supposed to connect to.

Any insight to what this is would be awesome.

it's just a breather to release pressure in the trans.

OK since I already have this thread started I should ask another question. I noticed today while cleaning my iacv that my Cold air intake isn't really connected to the throttle body. Instead it just has a large rubber sleeve with hose clamps on each end. Would this be a contributing factor to my bouncing idle problem?

OK I've got one small question for everyone. Where in the world is my vss?!?!?! Its a 95 coupe and I've searched for it for the last 3 days. Googled it and have gotten like 10 different answers and can't find it. I don't think the swap would have caused it to be relocated. Anyone got any insight ?

Its on the backside of your tranny by the passenger axle. You'll see it it plugs into a harness.

And btw the CAI clamps are fine, unless there is a cut or hole in the rubber.

Check your coolant level and make sure it's full. Believe it or not that can cause a bouncy idle.

You can remove the intake entirely and it wont affect the idle at all.

Bleed the coolant system and see if that helps the idle. Did on mine.

Check and see how close or far off the tps is from needing to be calibrated as well.
