So I changed to a new intake and throttle body set up and noticed a piece of stainless steel under my map in between that and throttle body? What does this do? I googled it and supposedly is good for boosted cars but I'm NA, could this give false readings?

A "missing link" is a one way check valve to prevent your map sensor from reading more than atmospheric pressure on boosted cars. If the map sees too much positive pressure it will go into fuel cut and send the car into limp mode. It shouldn't affect your n/a car, but it would be safer to remove it. It's just one more part that can fail and cause headaches while troubleshooting.

People. have we gotten that helpless? Take off the Missing Link. Mount the MAP sensor. Take a screw and thread it in until it doesn't thread anymore. Whatever length of thread left over (visible above the MAP to the screw head) is what you need to cut off from the end OR will tell you what length screw you need to buy.
As for being "cheap screws" they seem to have held both the MAP sensor and Missing Link on with no issues all this time.
Jeez.
