Default Whistle noise can't get rid of it help

I have a 2000 civic ex with a d16y8. Around 1500-2200 rpms I get this whistle noise coming from the engine bay at about half throttle. When I turn the heater on it will do it at idle even. I've searched most people said its because of the short ram intake but I put the stock one back on and it still did it others say it's from the idle adjustment screw and it needs tightened I messed with that and nothing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you if you do

Normal air filter cone...only makes that noise through those rpms and goes away shouldn't be the exhaust leak I just inspected that possibly a vaccum leak ill check there

on a sri? its a spectre filter like what you but at autozone or whatever the filter that usually comes with a ram intake, but its not the intake because i put the stock one back on and it still has the whistle noise.

That will cause a whistling noise

So you put the stock intake on (with the panel filter) and it still made the noise?

Can't you just see where it's coming from by opening the throttle body manually...?

If this is true, its obviously not the intake...

Does the car have A/C?

And which setting do you have the climate controls on with the heater ON?

Check brake booster(round can between firewall and master cylinder) in gear drops revs more. Where is idle at in gear. Is brake pedal kind of "spongy" at all??

While idling, spray ether(edit: aka starting fluid) behind/around booster. If it idles up there's your prob. Look for leakage of brake fluid between master cyl/booster. Fluid can get in there and eat up rubber seal, causing vac leak
