Just wondering anybody done it ?

People with itr and prelude had done it

i did a reserch on this topic i think with fastbrake Spec R kit and NSX caliper it can be also fit on the 4 lug Integra.......

 

i just bough all the stuff need to do it

has anyone else done it yet?

 

What all is needed to swap stock GSR front brakes for Legend?

 

Id also like to know more about some of our "junkyard" options for brake upgrades.

 

user name 'Migs' has done it his dc2...do a search.

 

i just put them on my gsr...you just need to shave the bracket...it takes a lil while unless you can figure out a good way to do it

no pics yet...its pretty much self explanitory when you finally get the stuff..if i can do it anyone can haha

i used a dremel and hand file..it was slow

if i had to do it over again i would take it to a machine shop

so u got the ultimates huh? thats what i actually planned on goin wit in the future when my pads fade out... let me kno later on after you've had the legend calipers on for a while how it runs... cuz if you don't mount it rite, won't it seat the pads incorrectly and get uneven wear on the pads???

 

Here's a question... How much bigger are those brakes than lets say compared to AEM's big brakes? And ultimately how much did you pay? Because if the price isn't all that great I'd rather go thru the normal route.

 

Get them by a reputable machine shop in your area. 3-4 mm should do the trick. I've had ITR calipers on my GSR for 3 years now without any problems. Make sure you upgrade the lines and pads as well.

 

in vtec used the accord calipers i believe i dont know about the rotors though he had to shave the calipers also.

 

what exactly do you mean by this..cuz i think im noticing that...it seems the pads are putting more pressure on the inner part of the wheel...

 

i got my caipers for 70 bucks, rotors for 120 and pads for 100

and can still use my stock rims

 

I still haven't seen an answer to my question.

What are all the specific parts I will need? Obviously calipers, rotors, and pads, but do I need brake lines, other equipment to help the fitment?

 

that's about it. other than that the brake likes should bolt in.
when you shave the GSR caliper bracket, which part did you shave exactly?

all you need is calipers rotors and pads..anything else would be purely a upgrade (ie brake lines)

as for what you need to shave, its the inner part of the bracket that holds the calipers on. its pretty much trial and error on how much u need to take off cuz every car is a lil different.

here is a lil tip tho...the rotor may seem like it clears the bracket but once you put your wheel on it pushes it farther back and may not clear it. so what i did was put 3 huge washers on 2 lugs and then put the lug nuts on..which pushes the rotor back to the same spot as it would if the wheel was on.

 

i just noticed you said gsr caliper backet....you need the legend or whatever caliper you use's bracket. they are much bigger

you will also need the bolts from bracket that hold the caliper to the bracket. the stock gsr ones are way to small...i found that out the hard way to haha

 

Other then using Legend caliper bracket I wanna ask what else are needed?
Where do u get your rotors and caliper??

What rotor should we use? Legend rotor or the ITR rotor redrill(fastbrake rotor)?

 

you will need the need the legend caliper bracket bolts if it doesnt come with them.

so you were able to put on nsx calipers on the gsr setup? I am looking to do this and i was reseasrching onw hat would be needed to do thsi swap.
