Icon3 D16Z6 Possible Leaks?

I think it's in the best benefit for D16Z6 engine equipped vehicle owners to start this new post on possible oil leaks (whether common or uncommon) a D series engine may have.

I'm curious to the fact that my D16Z6 is leaking but is a bit confused where it originates from. So if we can all generate a list of the seals, gaskets, and rings this engine has, that would be very helpful.

To my knowledge, the seals And gaskets I know that could cause oil leaks are:

Valve cover gasket
Spark plug seal
Valve cover bolt seal
Dizzy O-ring
VTEC Solenoid Gasket
Internal Cam Seal
Front Cam Seal
Rear Man Seal

I have a D16Z6 as well and I'm having the same problem with mine. The motor has always run strong and smooth, and has been well maintained. Looking into doing a head job though this will be my first. Other than what my manual tells me, is there anything I should keep in mind when doing this?

My replacement D16Z6 has a leak around the oil drain plug. The threads don't seem stripped and I teflon tape them and use fresh replacement washers. I think the pan got dinged near the plug and it's a little deformed. Might have been a freak accident or maybe they're susceptible in this area to get bumped. I'm going to start using a little RTV to avoid the oil leaks in the driveway.
