So ive seen a few threads recently with people having oddly shaped, carbon fiber looking CAI's. Do those things do anything performance wise different from other normal looking CAI's or are they just for looks?
IMO they look goofy and pointless.

I suppose you could call them that. I showed a picture of one to my wife and she says they resemble a dick.

 

They are supposed to slam more air in at one time but on a measly civic you dont see much.
