Your windows probably just fell off the rail. Remove the door card, unbolt the window, re-align it.

On both my Civics I've had the windows would come off track. What I did was remove the panel that cover the door, and at bottom of the door towards the front there's a bolt that holds the track in place. I found that the track needs to bend rearward more than it is, so I bored the hole out so it is more oblong shaped. This allowed me to bolt the window track further back to push back on the window so I don't have to. I still have to be careful with it, like not putting the window the whole way down, but it doesn't pop off track as anymore.

Thanks.
Also, my passenger door sometimes goes over the trim at the top? why does this happen? Is it the rubber stopper?

this is so random. But one day I was driving and I heard a loud pop noise that came from the passenger window. any ideas on what it was?

If it's going outside the trim it probably went off track and you need to take the door panel off to fix it.

May also need a new run channel for the window to help alignment

Try spraying silicone spray in the window run channels and see if that helps operation and binding. The run channels are the whole rubber piece the window slides in
