Default H22A Oil pump

I'm new to this forum, and not sure if this is the right place for this post, but here it goes...
I have a 1997 Accord, with a F22. I recently purchased a parts car and it has a H22A, now I know this is the JDM model for the H22, but there is no oil pressure and I was told that the pump is gone, I live in a small town in Nova Scotia, so I would have to know what to ask for at the parts places here, my question is, what car did the H22A come out of, like what year and make of the prelude, or will the oil pumps from the H22A1 or H22A4 fit it? Sorry if I should have posted this elsewhere, but any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Yes they will fit,

H22a oil pump fits, http://www.ebay.com/itm/92-01-Honda-Prelude-2-2L-2-3L-DOHC-H22A1-H22A4-H23A1-Oil-Pump-w-Sensor-Port-/221189661337?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item337fee6299&vxp=mtr

1993-1996 HONDA PRELUDE 2.2L 2156CC L4 DOHC, (16 VALVE), ENG. CODE "H22A1"
1997-2001 HONDA PRELUDE 2.2L 2156CC L4 DOHC, (16 VALVE), ENG. CODE "H22A4"
1992-1996 HONDA PRELUDE 2.3L 2259CC L4 DOHC, (16 VALVE), ENG. CODE "H23A1"

I would check out the first link if you want a good, cheap oil pump. They've sold 125 of them and have 100% feedback rating.

Thats says H22A1, H22A3 and H23.
What you're saying is the H22A and H22A1 have the same oil pump?

Blocks are the same between H22A engines JDM was 'A' then later models received different designations for slight differences. US/CAN=A1, EUR= A2, and so on. Usually a head/cam/intake/exhaust port configuration difference prompted a new A# designation.

I would be second guessing putting for the effort to put an engine in my car that had an oil pressure problem without first doing a leak down test on that h22a engine and being sure it's in good shape before doing the swap and later finding out the engine is bad. Worst-case scenario is that that engine suffered damage from a lack of oil pressure.

my first thought as well. if I were in this situation I do a lot of investigation of the current state of the motor... then pull it appart completely and rebuild/repair as needed. that way I know it's right and I could drive it hard like I am certain to do.

Well it's just a motor I got in a parts car, paid $300 for the whole car, only paid $250 for the car I'm driving, so I'm not looking to dump a whole pile of money into it. I had the car running, (took off the valve cover, and put a little bit of oil on the cam shafts) but there was dirty oil spraying up, like it was older oil, does that mean my oil pump is working.
