Factory radio turns on when car is off at on free will
Hello all,
I own a 2006 Honda Accord SE 2.4L
I recently put some aftermarket audio equipment in my car.
Below are the components I have to date:
Head Unit: STOCK
Aftermarket OEM Integration Audio Equalizer: JL CleanSweep
4 Channel Amp: JL HD600 4-channel Amp
Mono Amp: JL HD1200/1
4 Speakers: JL C5-650 Speakers
2 Subwoofers: JL 10w6
My problem is when my car is off my head unit powers on and off randomly throughout the night or day or whenever the car is off. Sometimes if I'm lucky I will walk in on my head unit going through multiple power cycles. Now the head unit is the only thing turning on. Amps and CleanSweep stay off and un-powered during these power cycles. Tested with a volt/amp meter to see if it has to do with the aftermarket stuff. The after market stuff is drawing nothing yet the head unit is. When its power cycling it will draw anywhere from an amp to 3.5 amps depending on the severity of the power cycles.
Sometimes the unit just stays on without flicking on and off and it will sit like that for hours until i use my key-less entry and unlock the doors, then it resets and starts cycling again. This kills off a fully charged battery in one day if its really going at it hard. sometimes it will last weeks without cycling at all. I don't know what it is. Please help.
