Default car wont start

So i got my buddies 2009 Acura tsx with a 4cyl (not sure what motor) and 71k miles so he said he was driving and the car just bogged out and died. So he got it towed over to my place and sure enough it cranks and cranks but wont fire at all. It has spark and i can hear the fuel pump turning on i pulled the line off the fuel rail and there is fuel at the rail.so it has spark and fuel so it should run The immobilizer light is going off like it should. I checked all fuses and relays and everything seems fine. Its almost like the timing is way off but i dont get how it could be the thing only has 70 k miles on it what a p.o.s. im outa ideas if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate it thanks

No codes stored. Car also has injector pulse. The only light that came on he said was "check emissions"

damn that sucks, invest in a compression tester if you dont already have one. good way to check if the timing belt had skipped or not, may cause lower compression in the cylnd.
