which OPTIMA batteries
Hey guys... I need a new battery because its dying out. I have some pullies so cranking power is important to me. Can someone explain the difference between the optima batteries (red, yellow, blue). They all seem the same and cant decide which one to get. Thanks for the input.
blue top for stereo is the best bet...
i just killed my yellow top the 950CCA one
i have to move on over to the blue top
if you are just running a typical cd player but no subs or are not planning to buy subs i suggest the red top but you might as well use the typical stock battery...
check out http://www.stinger-aamp.com stinger makes a lighter battery which is made for stereo and high usage... typical optima batteries weigh a ton compared to stock batteries...
if you are just building for show/competition with a stereo i suggest getting the fury from optima or 2 stinger batteries
ok so actually go ith a stinger battery it will be best for anything its lighter and built to handle stereo's
if you want a yellow top just pay the extra for the blue top so it will last you longer...
also shop around for warranty my optima supplier only has a 1 year warranty that is pro rated (where i get money back instead of replacement)

I'd just go and get a red top, decent CCA and plenty good enough for a light system. Though may not store as much as the yellow, it's cheaper and more available. The blue top is good though meant for marine use, and does not store as much charge as the yellow. I bought mine on summitracing.com, can't beat 7.95 shipping for a battery...
