not to knock you or anything bro, but a vx is not worth spending money on an intake. that car is made to get like 40mpg.. kinda defeats the purpose. if anything.. goto kragen and get a generic civic one for $40.

i had a cx and put an intake on (stupid me) and my gas mileage went to ****!

 

VX tb is teeny, I just went ahead and did an entire mini-me, now an intake is usefull

 

Why did it go bad? Driving patterns or just the intake?

 

lol forget the intake on the d15z1.... you need the entire d16z6 intake manifold... you will see impressive gains in power.

 

Seriously? How much does that setup cost?

 

not really a setup, it's just the throttle manifold from the Si/EX engine. I'm sure it can be found cheap. I've heard gains of 5-10hp on the dyno. Couple that with a d16z6 tranny and you *might* hit 15s.

i had an aem short ram for a 93 accord from my previous car laying around, so i put that on my VX...i had to get an adapter from the pipe to the TB, but its all good...its really loud...but just get something cheap...like pepboys APC intake...or EBay intakes...cuz they're all like 40-50 bucks...it'll work...
oh, and if you dont know what kind to get, since our cars have a different motor than the CX and DX, get an intake made for the EX or SI since our TB is like theirs....
