Icon6 93 civic ex turning over, but won't start.

CEL came on about a week ago. I pulled the code and got 43: Fuel Supply System. After browsing a bit many people said that it was probably O2 sensor, and since the only symptom was CEL and lower mileage (lost about 10-15 mpg), I wasn't too worried and was waiting for a day off to fix it.

Today it won't crank.
So far, we've replaced the fuel filter, O2 sensor, and spark plugs.

All lights, radio, etc work. (tried jumping it just to be sure)
Turns over, won't start.
Good spark.
Fuel pump is coming on, and sprays gas.
All fuses look okay.
Won't start with starter fluid.
Tried turning key to "on" position about 15 times, then start (to get fuel pressure back up?), no good.

after replacing O2 sensor, it caught for a second a couple times, but then gave up.

it's got about 134k on it. I'm a delivery driver so it gets a lot of stop and go driving.

Anything? I'm about to give up and have it towed to a shop...

Have you got spark?

Pick up an HEI spark tester, [$10-$15] and test spark at each cylinder.

Both the coil and ICM are common problems on older Honda/Acura.

You said, "Fuel pump is coming on, and sprays gas", how did you determine gas was "spraying", was it at the filter or at the injectors?

If at the filter, you need to check at the injectors, so try this...

1-Cycle ign. 2-4 times, [turn on, wait untill fuel pump stops priming, turn off and on again, again wait untill the pump stops priming, turn off and on again] after cycling try and start the engine a few times, [2-3 second cranks] do not touch the gas pedal.
2- Turn ign. off and immediately remove the spark plugs, and inspect the ends, are they "wet" with gas? 94

Sorry, I totally forgot that I posted this after being so frustrated/tired.

I think it was the coil. My gpa replaced it this morning (and the distributor cap) and my car started up and was running pretty well today. CEL popped on with same code, but I don't think I reset it, so I'll do that tomorrow.

Funny, because all day I was like "Could it be the coil? I've read that these cars seem to have problems with them..." and was disregarded until he mentioned a coil late last night.

And it was at filters. However, I did cycle and when we pulled plugs they were wet.

Thanks for the reply.
