Removing 93 EX coupe mirror

Removing 93 EX coupe mirror
So Im trying to remove the mirror as in:

I can feel the mirror slightly disengage, but I cant get it to slide any further off the mirror's base stone. I am at a loss on how to push the mirror off any further without breaking the winshield.
