Rear disk conversion on sedan
I have a 2000 sedan lx and I want to do the conversion but from what I've found online is that I need the: rear trailing arms with calipers and rotors off a 99-00 si or 94-01 teg, si/ex prop valve, si break lines and ebrake cables. The trailing arms most likely I'll get them off a 95 teg. Soooo is the 99-00 si prop valve really needed, MC, brake booster??? I rather get all the stuff off an si but my local junkyard said they dont have them, that's why the teg. Any help is greatly appreciated guys thanks
The prop valve is not required in the sense of you'll never lock the rear wheels, but without it you shiny new discs will be doing less braking than you drums are currently. So all you'll have added is extra weight and reduced the braking performance.
A prop valve is the finishing touch to a brake swap, think of it like a remap after upgrading engine components.
