Default d16y8 oil pan vs d16y7 oil pan

Other than the fact that the y8 is aluminum and the y7 is steel any other major differences. I need a oil pan for my turbo build up and i have dx one laying around the garage. Would their be any problems by putting this pan on a y8?

really no problems??

I welded a return fiting onto my VX pan and tried to put that on the Y8 bottom and it wouldn't fit.
Why is that?

ohh and drink more of these
