Default D16 wont run. Help?

Ok so I fried my clutch a few weeks ago and we just replaced it. Everything went smooth both in taking it all apart and putting it back together. Also threw in a bunch of new stuff. New cv axles, cold ait intake, ect. Did a bunch of cleaning while the bay was empty, deleted the ac and power steering, traded the factory overflow bottle for a vodka bottle and custom mount. Well when we got everything put back together it wouldnt start, just spun over. Checked air, fuel, and spark to find that i was not getting fuel. Replaced the main relay and now sometimes it primed and sometimes it didnt, so we determined that part was wiring. We ran a wire to the fuel pump with a toggle switch temporarily until we trace down where my wiring issue is. Now im getting all three, air fuel and spark. Problem is im getting wayy too much fuel. It will start but wont idle, it just dies. Give some throttle and it spits and sputters and pops. Checked my plugs and theyre all fowled and black. Not getting fuel, too much fuel, im at a loss. Any thoughts?

Did you replace the fuel filter? While you had it all apart i would have also cleaned the IACV and FITV as well as tightened it back up. Could be a bad/dirty ground causing the fuel pump to not properly prime/run. The pump could also just be bad.

When you ran your "new"temporary power wire to the fuel pump, did you wire it onto the original harness or did you cut/remove the power wire coming from the harnesses?

Being that i have done some 3phase power work in my life as well as other electrical, when you have the original power hooked up, you get 12v, with the temporary hooked up you get 12v as well. What's 12+12=? 24. Your giving your fuel pump 24v which is why your getting way too much fuel.

Replace the pump and strainer as well as the fuel filter.

No i have not replaced my fuel filter yet, planning on it. I have a purple anodized one coming to match the rest of the bay. My IACV has been deleted. Where is the FITV located? I will be sure to check all of my grounds. I know everything is hooked up but not sure about the clean part. The wire was cut from the harness, the harness end was taped off so that it can be put back if we figure out the problem so it's only getting 12v. Checking if the fuel pump was bad was one of the reasons for running the temp wire. It now works fine, just on a switch. If a ground problem is found or something it will be put back to the harness. Thanks. I was told my fuel pressure regulator could be bad. I grew up building carburated V8's, this fuel injected over head cam stuff is a whole new world to me.

The FITV(if you have on) is located on the bottom of the throttle body. if you have an aftermarket tb you most likely don't have it.

My throttle body and intake are oem, the IACV was only deleted because it went bad. Figured why should I pay for a brand new one when aftermarket (eventually plan on getting one) doesnt even have one. So its been deleted. Ill check out that FITV tonight.
