Default Dents in valve cover.

So ive been researching this since i got my car and cant find an answer anywhere. My valve cover has like small dents in it. Makes my engine look horrible. The hood isnt doing it and theres no way they are being caused underneath. And u deffinatly know the previous owner didn't do it. Anyone know what might have caused them?

He's completly oblivious to the fact that it easly could have been dented when it was off the car at somepoint.

Those aren't dents. Like the other guy said, that's the paint bubbling/separating from the spark plug cover due to shitty paint and/or shitty prep work before painting.

I didnt paint it and the previous owner was a family member who bought it online. ( had to dig through old receipts to find that out) He either got it from a shitty company cause it was red when purchased according to the receipt. Thanks for the help. Ill have to repaint it i suppose.
