integra side moldings removal?
im removing the door molding on my integr so naturally i have to cover the holes where the clips were. the plan is to take of the door panels and wire wheel the area where all the holes are. then take a 1 inch by 1 in piece of 8th inch thick flatbar and JB WELD them to the the holes. then bonlde over the visual side of the door. the question is will this plan work? Will the jb weld hold it?? i want to avoid welding it so i dont warp the door metal.. any suggestions?
If the individual welding up the holes has half a clue what he or she is doing you won't get any warping. If you don't want to actually weld the holes up just slap some bondo on and call it a day. 1/8" thick flatbar is way overkill as well. Those door skins are like 18g if I remember correctly.
Regardless of what we tell you you're going to do it anyway so hack and wack away.

Seriously, I'm ******* sick of getting labeled because of how most people hack and ghetto rig these cars up. The Honda community as a whole has a terrible reputation because most of the people that own these cars are cheap and half *** everything. Just look at the amount of fake and knock off parts floating around for these cars. The few of us that really do things right don't come close to making up for the amount of people that don't. You have no idea how much I wish people had the attitude of "do it right or don't do it at all". Maybe, just maybe if that were the case, Honda's might be respected a little bit more. Everyone just has to have that instant gratification though so lord knows that'll never happen.
