2004 CR-V thermostat location

I think I'm loosing my mind. I can't find the thermostat location on my wife's CR-V. Please help!!

Follow the radiator hose to near the head, its in there

That's what I had followed, but it sure looked like I would have to remove a lot of parts to get to it. At that point I thought I might have the wrong location.
