Something doesn't look right to me (s300 inside)
I have the chance to pick up what is supposedly s300 in a p28 for a crackhead price. Everything checks out but 1 thing, the actual chip. My s300 in my p72 says Hondata and a serial number right on it. This one says Dallas and looks like its made in the Philippines. Not sure if maybe the sticker just fell off or what. I don't want to drive 2.5hrs 1 way for it to be a bum ecu. Kid doesn't have it in the car to test it either, I am going to drive an obd1 equipped car and take my laptop with me to verify it works. Just want to make sure its even legit before getting that far
the DALLAS manufacturing is made in the philippines.
if you remove your sticker you will that...
it is not a counterfeit

^^Thank you! I picked the ecu up, I took my laptop with me, installed the ecu in my buddies EG and loaded up a basemap and played with some settings to make sure it took the changes. Everything checked out ok, the lack of Hondata sticker is what had me nervous.
