I'm noticing a lot of brown residue coming off the pump's pulley. It also sounds like it is the bearing that's going.
Is the bearing replacable on it's own or do I need the entire pump?
Thanks

You can rebuild the pump. I would as a new OEM one is $500+, $200+ for a reman.
I don't know if the PS pump was different for different models so, this is just an example. Type your VIN into the site's search engine for your specific pump: http://www.hondapartscheap.com/parts...engine/ps-pump

If the bearing and the seal behind it is available from the stealer, it looks like it's just a matter of pulling the pulley, and the shaft and the circlip and I'll have access to the bearing.
I'm hoping someone has done that and could shed some light on the procedure. Did you have to pull the pump off the motor? or can it be left with a simple drain of the fluid.
Thanks
