Yes! I noticed your clever punctuation. Whether "street" or "race"... one has longer runners, one has shorter runners. Same ****, different toilet. Get over yourself, they are the same general design.

Different throttle body sizing (90mm vs 74mm) different plenum size (3.5L vs 1.82L) looks like a totally different plenum as bolt pattern looks different.

- "Same ****, different toilet. Get over yourself." Im just gonna leave this quote here
- "SAME ****, DIFFERENT TOILET. Quote it again."

Congratulations, you pointed out the OBVIOUS differences shown in writing on Skunk's website. Like I said, the "GENERAL" design is the same. But OBVIOUSLY between street and race there are specification differences. SAME ****, DIFFERENT TOILET. Quote it again.

Looks can be deceiving that's why i'm pointing the "obvious." Seems like the product could be viable for a moderate builds like a 2L with head work and compression. I'm curious to see more pictures of this street version.

I'm wondering if they will offer spacers to change plenum volume? If not I'm sure someone will

I brought this up in the Ultra thread and no one seemed see there was different manifolds, I like the idea of the staged manifolds and am on the fence about trying one myself.

Yeah, checked the linked threads. It's 3.5 L with the option of adding up to two 1L spacers.

Ive been considering doing a direct comparison to my blox v3 manifold myself, all depends on where this is priced at. I could see 350-400 being reasonable for this if it has the same kinda gains we just saw with the ultra vs the bmc race.

Price is 380 during pre-order and accepts a typical Honda throttle body

The engineers at Skunk2 Racing have worked tirelessly to develop the next generation of high performance intake manifolds and are proud to announce the release of the much anticipated Ultra Series Intake Manifold. Years of R&D have culminated in a multi-piece cast aluminum intake manifold that offers advantages that only a modular design could allow.

Building upon the performance legacy of our Pro Series Intake Manifold, as well as using the latest in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software; Skunk2 Racing has created a three-piece modular design that allows for easy disassembly, porting, and plenum volume changes through the use of a removable plenum and optional plenum spacers. In addition to CFD testing, the Ultra Series Intake Manifold has undergone extensive in-house dyno and on-car testing which has led to a design that is less restrictive, yielding both torque and power gains well over many of the competitors.

Detailed and meticulous planning went into every aspect of the Ultra Series Street Intake Manifold. Ultra Series Street Intake Manifolds are manufactured from cast-aluminum high-grade 356 aluminum alloy for lightweight yet added strength over sheet metal manifolds. Each manifold is CNC-machined for a precise fit, and individually inspected for quality assurance. The Ultra Series Street manifold features a generous 74mm throttle body opening and is constructed with thick walls and entry minimizing concerns of breakthrough when port matching. Intense planning and design went into the plenum (1.82L plenum volume) to distribute even airflow to all four cylinders under dynamic load conditions. Placement and design of the velocity stacks were rigorously flow tested to ensure maximum delivery of air to the cylinder. Large velocity stack raised bell mouth entries lead to long 221.5mm intake runners with smooth transitions allowing the Ultra Series Street Intake Manifold to outflow the competition. Designed to be used with modified street applications and mild turbo setups, the Skunk2 Ultra Series Street Intake Manifold helps provide a new level affordable high-end intake technology to the marketplace.

Spawne it's incredibly easy to adapt a vtec manifold to fit the LS heads.

Pretty much, it's documented here and on "Endyn"

Back on topic:

Ultra Street
1820cc plenum
8.7" runners

ProSeries
1350cc
7.5" runners

PerformerX
2200cc
9" runners

Now I'm quite aware that there is a whole lot more involved with manifold design than what I have listed... But until there is more released on the Ultra Street manifold this is what we have.

There are velocity stacks in the runners same as the Ultra Race and from the photos there appears to be quite a bit of taper in the runners.

It's interesting that the ultra street falls between the old pro series and PerformerX. Im not the only who is itching to dyno it against the pro series. For me the selling point is being able to remove the plenum.
