anyone have any review of this manifold yet? this looks really nice. i know theirs probably others like this one out their but im just curious if anyone testers yet.

For the $679.99 - $799.99 you pay for it I'd expect a piece with better quality. For those serious about racing, build a custom sheet metal intake or buy a Kinsler.

Beat me to it. I saw that Skunk2 was coming out with this awhile ago.

I figured the initial design would be intended for an ALL-MOTOR application, since Skunk2 has never been designing product specifically for forced induction setups, more for N/A. Granted we all use Skunk products for FI setups (including myself currently).

But for half the price, an Edelbrock Victor-X will work just as well, possibly even better, with a large plenum and short runners for high-rpm efficiency, where most FI setups are meant to shine.

Not sure if Sheepey had any positive feedback or results in comparison to units like GE, GATO, BMC, MAGNUS and AFI.

I'm sure it will work well on an FI setup, but good enough to justify the price, in comparison to spending abit more for the above units specific for your application? I guess we'll we have to wait and see more real world testing results.

The plenum is adjustable in volume but the price tag is up there, especially for a cast/produced in bulk operation

I would need to see lots of comparisons on established setups to see the benefit. The nice thing is the longer runners will help torque production and an actual velocity stack in the plenum will do wonders with air distribution

Sheepey said he went 180mph in his prototype which was limited to the 3.5L planum volume. They made 900-1000whp with it. I remember seeing that the manifold blew the plenum/runners plate bolts and had to weld it together. IDK if Sk2 fixed that when launching their product.

This manifold was really "released" less than 10 days ago. You rent going to get much "feedback" other than "he said she said saw them heard".. we have one arriving in a few days actually.

Also, having internal velocity stacks isnt new; its just "new" to a cast intake manifold for a Honda. Most sheet metal manifolds will have them in some form or fashion. skunk2 just incorporated some good design points into a single manifold that should work well.

I just bought a S2 pro manifold if I knew this was coming out so soon I would have waited for the new design. I would love to see a ultra vs pro comparison. According to
S2 this was designed for FI.

Im still waiting to see some dyno tests myself, i know there is probably going to be plenty. For both boosted and all motor applications. While sheepey didnt rag on it, miller did for sure, but that was only the prototype that broke from a weak casting/leaks. From what sheepey said the flaws had been corrected since then. The price is what hurts that manifold. If it was 675-700 with all of the plenum options, then yeh it would be competitive. But for that price, id rather run a GE or some other kind of sheet metal manifold.

I would want to see a direct comparison against the regular skunk2 manifold myself. Seeing as how you can get the blox replica like what i have for 175, i would wanna know how much in gains you would see for the couple hundred extra. Anything under 5hp over their regular manifold and you cant justify the price.

I dont think it has butterflys, or the throttle linkage. I doubt you could even integrate that without some serious fab work.

Well their new manifold costs more than double what you paid, I doubt you'll get double the performance, would you still be willing to buy it?

So what if something is fair? I can tell you many reasons why this is just another beta testing project they dumped into the consumers lap.

1.) Provisions for Older style IAT...
2.) 90mm TB port
3.) Coolant hook ups open to imagination
4.) No provisions for IACV
5.) No provisions for TB linkage

The only real things it brings to the table is you can open it up and close it back while watching TV and eating Funions. So what? The other positive thing would be resale value for multiple bolt patterens, but with everything missing and it being SPECIFICLY designed for a B-series, it's not worth it.

Penny for penny you are better off having a custom manifold made or finding an alternative route. ESPECIALLY if you are looking at this for a Forced Induction setup. I hope somebody does do a side by side comparision of right out of the box with this new manifold and the pro version. They target street cars in their description as well, maybe that's why I am sour about it too.

You can get a magnus sheet metal for the same price, and those perform and offer whats needed. that being said it looks like a nice piece, maybe in the future runs they will add what user feedback gives them. Hell for half the price the victor gets the job done

I dont understand the hype over the victor? Especially when it has been dyno proven on boosted car's to not perform as well as the skunk2 pro manifold or even the blox replica.
