IACV ohms reading ???
When you have a LS VTEC w Type R head hybrid engine what should the IACV ohms reading be to confirm I have a good IACV?
Specs for a 94 del sol VTEC P30 ECU is a Iacv ohms range of 8 to 15 ohms.
Specs for a Integra Type R (head & IACV) is a Iacv ohms range of 16 to 28 ohms.
With stock P30 ECU car's warm idle is 600 rpm steady & perfect.
With socketed chipped P28 ECU car's warm idle oscillates from 300 to 900 rpm.
The Type R head has the Type R IACV.
The math comparison is curious.
8 to 15 ohms equals perfect idle at 600 rpm
16 to 28 ohms equals oscillating rpm from 300 to 900.
Should the "chip" have been "tuned" to give a 8 to 15 ohm reading at the IACV? Is that possible to do when the chip was made? Or is it totally unrelated to the problem?
Thanks.
