You'll have to build your own circuit. I can't find your exact wire diagram but, in the 4 wire connector there should be 2 colored wires and 2 black wires. The 2 colored wires are each powered and fused separately while the 2 black wires are grounds. Both colored wires are on constant power, fused with 20A fuses at both fuse boxes and I don't see a relay. This doesn't mean that there isn't a relay, it just means I can't find it. It's only important if you snap the fuse when you hit the seat switch. Then you'll need to build a relay circuit to handle the amperage.

- Run 2 wires from the battery area to the 2 colored wires on that seat connector. These are going to your power wires.
- Cut the connector off. Solder the power wires to the 2 colored wires and heat-shrink or tape the connection.
- Solder wires onto the ends of the 2 black wires and run them to ground.
- Solder a fuse holder onto the end of each of the 2 power wires you just ran, crimp ring connectors on the end of the fuse holder wire and attach them to the battery.
- Put in 20A fuses and see if it works

Notes:

- I say solder and heat-shrink because butt or crimp connectors are prone to failure. I just like to do it right the first time.
- Ground is any bare metal or most bolts. Bolts are easiest as all you have to do is undo the bolt, crimp a ring connector on the wire then redo the bolt with the ring connector underneath.
- A popular spot to attach constant power wires is the main power lug going into the under-hood fusebox.
- I highly recommend wire loom for wires in the engine bay and silicon for any hole you have to make in a gasket going through the firewall.

Like I said, if it keeps popping fuses post back and I'll show ya how to build a relay circuit.

You can't exactly solder a ground to the chassis.........

That wire isn't going to move at all so you're generally ok with using crimped ones. I usually follow up the crime by melting solder into the crimp to make sure it's got good contact.

And like TheMuffinMan said you can't really solder to a chassis.

"Mr Muffin"- never said to solder a ground to the chassis....Please read what was posted.

Point, Mr lazlong states that solder is better than "crimps"....then states to crimp a ring on the ground wire...pot vs kettle here. Do you not give the ground "path" the same respect as the power? If not, let me ask how many times issues have been resolved by getting proper "ground"?

That is the point...sorry to have set ya'll off....but that is the norm for this site.

Solder is most certainly better than crimping. But my point was you really cannot solder a wire to what is commonly used for grounding - those O or U shaped butt connectors. Even the OEM grounding parts use them and have them crimped

If you'd like to show me how to solder a U shaped piece of metal directly to the end of the wire I'm wide open for suggestions. Every connection you can solder + heatshrink over crimping you should, but sometimes it's not feasible.

Connecting two wires together? Strip, solder, heat shrink.
Connecting a ground point to chassis? Strip, crimp (I solder too), heatshrink (or ensure it's covered)

Read what was posted?

Mr lazlong states that crimps are not good and should do it right from the start.....yet gives the ground no respect.....how many issues have been traced back to a bad ground....put in a $500 sound system, do you crimp the grounds?

Sorry to have set ya'll off but the point is valid...the ground is JUST as important as the the power. Sorry if you missed that fact.

Go look at your vehicle battery cables. What's that CRIMPED on the end? I dare you to find any ground wire in your car that doesn't have a crimp connector. If you would not take me out of context you would see I was talking about soldering wire connections, not power and ground connections.

As to you saying "Do you not give the ground "path" the same respect as the power?" did you not notice I said to crimp the power wire too? I gave the same "respect" to power and ground.

MODS, PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD AS THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED AND THIS FOOL THINKS YOU CAN SOLDER A GROUND TO CHASSIS.

Says the pot to the kettle. Again, this is the TECH forum, not GDD. Where's your tech advice dipshit? Come on, show me a ground soldered to chassis.
