so my crx will not start at all... ive checked everything, timing, dizzy, plugs,wires... i have good spark and getting gas but she still will not run. im totally stumped on what to do next. Any ideas?

 

hello there need a little more info such as what you are working

 

Fuel + Spark and still not running = low compression, plugs wires not in the right place, or timing belt not set right.

 

its a d16a6 stock crx si... my buddy ran to get a compression tester but the plugs when we took them out were fine... i would think oil would be on the plug or at least the smell of oil? the guy who a bout it off said the it jumped timing. but we checked the timing and it was fine. but we took the cap off the dizzy and the screw to hold the rotor in place was gone.. so pretty much it wasnt spinning and if it was it was spinning wrong.. i heard main relay could be the issue to but i have no idea where that is to check

 

does anybody know what the compression should be on the cylinders

I agree with 4dref. Check the order from scratch. If you have fuel and Spark, your missing Air. Main relay is possible.

 

So after I full day of work this is what I came up with.... Number 4 cylinder was low compression. The car would start for a split second and never stay running I took the head off and am rebuilding the head. The pistons look like they went through war and back but have no play in them and can still see the hone on the cylinder walls. Ill be posting pics in the next few minutes for you guys to take a look at and maybe steer in me in the right direction

 

How much compression was it?

 

like 80 psi
