Default antenna

On the 92-95 Honda civics..when you turn on the radio isn't the radio antenna supossed to come out my itself...for some reason mine don't and can't get no radio stations to work and my cd player is brand New and yet it is installed the current way

I think you have to pull your antenna out unless its been deleted

O is it even if I pull it out all the way still don't get no stations..maybe I need a new one

No it doesn't. Maybe you just have crappy reception. Possibly the antenna is broken in some but it is NOT powered.

trace the cord back towards the driver kick panel to see if it's broken/damaged. If so, replace it.

TIP: remove the antenna (window pillar) and cut the cord. Tape the cord (with electrical tape) to the end of the new antenna cable connector and use the old cord as a pull-string.

It's probably just not working replace it. And like it's been said it does not come out by itself.

Get a shop manual for your car. Better yet, download one off the net. Don't ask for the link though.

From what I remember, the ant on my 95 civic si hatch was not power.
