Default GC purchase..need advice

Hello Guys,

Before proceeding and then regreting!

As im almost ready to order my GC coilovers (420F and 280R) to be paired with koni shocks. I want to make sure that these rates are suitable for my height goal. (no autox)

Below you can find picture for how i want the car sitting.

Also you can see a sample of some shityyy roads that i might be going through.

some opinions would be appreciated
Thanks

I'd go 400f and 350r. You'd probably be just fine with the rates you mentioned though. It's really a personal preference thing. If it were my car it would be in the neighborhood of 700f and 900r for track use with race valved koni yellows, but that's another story.

ohh mann, no way to drive on such roads with high rear rates!

BTW GC offered my requested rates with 7 inch springs.

Should i be getting a taller springs?

I dont want the car to sit lower then 2 inches from stock height.

After tons of researches, i believe 280R are good enough for about 2 inches drop, and i realy care about maintaining a slightly smooth ride regarding the suprises i might face on our roads :S

Hope any one can assist concernig the spring lenght, just need to know what is the lenght of stock si 00 springs and that will be helpful to take my final decision.

Asks if rates are suitable. Rejects all suggestions to the contrary. Can't explain that.

Didnt get your point!

I know the car will be understeering.

but i choosed the rates based on a DD car, 2 inches low, no autox and low rear rates to avoid very harsh ride.

Damn really confusing what to choose!! especially im shipping outside the US, the coilovers will cost about $500 which i dont want to be throwing in the garbage incase my decision wasnt correct!

You asked if your rates were okay.
People said to get stiffer rates (especially in the rear).
YOU said no. Said the should be enough.

What's your purpose in asking if you will just reject any suggestions you get?

The height is adjustable. Get whatever they send to you!

Why do people make this **** more difficult than it has to be?

any one can give differnt opinion, but what is reason for higher rates in the rear.
280 will botom out? dont think so.

It'll probably bottom out because of the shitty roads you have + 2 inch drop. All it will take one giant pothole that isn't patched. But hey, you know everything and know nothing all at the same time.

If you've already made up your damn mind why did you bother to even start this thread? Just to watch people write **** and waste their time?

Good luck with your purchase.

I dont want to turn this thread into arguments.

I know i am not experienced and this is my 1st suspension uprade.
So as u already saw a picture of the ride height goal and situation of some roads ill pass by, what rates do u suggest for:

a daily driven
not a track car
prefare a NOT so harsh ride.

sub·jec·tive
/səbˈjektiv/
Adjective
Based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions.

The subjective case.

Ride comfort is subjective sir. We can tell you all day long and it will be different to each and every person. No one can say what is/is not harsh to your ***/spine.

Now you can be moved to inaction because you cannot make a decision on your own due to doubt.

Okay understand. The height is adjustable!!!! If you're bottoming out with the spring rate you're stuck on then RAISE THE DAMN CAR UP!!!

Maybe it's a language barrier. People have already given you suggestions. Stop asking the same damn questions, worded differently, over and over and make a move already.

I'm sorry to say this and pardon my french here but, stop being a ***** and pull the trigger. If the rates are too harsh/soft BUY DIFFERENT SPRINGS LATER AND SWAP THEM OUT!!!

I hope you know no one knew the first time ever how their car was going to ride when they first bought suspension. It's trial and error. Think Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

I think 280 rear is enough for that drop. You guys see those roads? I wouldn't want 300+ lb springs either.

Maybe. But I wouldn't be insane enough to attempt to lower it that much either.

Have you considered an offroad vehicle to drive on the "streets" you have there?

Thats really how you thought this thread went? People were being aggressive?
Just because you are sensitive, doesnt mean that was the case.

Nice choice you went with. Will suit your needs much better i think. Although, its not a huge difference from what you originally wanted, but wont feel as soft.
