My headlights and everything else work just my brake lights don't come on and the fuse is good. Also when I turn the headlights on without the key in the buzzer doesn't work. Oh and I have a 99 civic ex

 

And now I have to shove my key in that little spot next to my shifter to shift from park

 

pretty sure the brake lights and the shifter are related. Likely the brake switch. The brake switch releases the shift interlock so you can shift.

 

Well its happened before except I could shift out of park and I'm pretty sure the buzzer worked. I tried to change out the switch and that didn't work. So I chased down the wire and I guess from moving the connector it made it work properly. Today I needed to fix it fast so I ran a wire from the switch past that connector behind that panel on the drivers side. But there still not working and I can't take it out of park unless I put my key in that little slot. So tomorrow I'm going to reconnect that wire and go from there
