in the process of putting a dc cluster in my ef. im not getting any dash lights. i had them working once, but only briefly. i spoke to a friend at a shop and he said that there is a different polarity of voltage coming out of the dimmer switch and that i would have to swap some wires. has anyone heard any thing about this and my have some insight.

*update*
bought another dimmer switch from a junk yard and switched the red/black and red wires around in the connection between the ef harness and the teg pigtails. lights worked the first couple times i start the car, now they are not coming on again. i am getting all the lights on dash controls for ac, but i think i might have fried another dimmer switch. does anyone have any experience with these symptoms ?
