I have an LS eg that had a matching LS trans. I recently bought a new trans (S4C) that had a cracked casing. I took it to my friend who does transmissions and he sold me a 94 GSR casing and swapped all the internals from the S4C trans into the GSR y80 . I put it on and right when i take it down the street all my trans fluid fell . I jack the car up and see the axles out. I try it again and when i tighten the axle nut and move the wheel the axle comes out ? Do i need different axles? I thought they were all the same?

It sounds like the circlips on the ends of your axles might be done for. They're only good for removal so many times before they stop flexing.
