Default Honda RC51 - Things to look for

Just bought a 2002 Honda Rc51 and it has a few obvious cosmetic issues where someone laid it down like scratches on the plastic and dents in the tank and a few other small things. But mechanically it seems to run fine. Anything in particular I should inspect/check that might be problematic in the future.

Also, this is my first motorcycle so if this sounds kind of like a noob question, that's why lol

Well;I can honestly tell you that, with motorcycles,it can be somewhat trickier than cars (in my opinion)? Forks and frames are a big one. Cosmetics are typical for people looking at or for bikes. I actually have mine for sale and it has a little over 24,000 miles so with that and its age,it should be expected to have some typical scuffs and nicks here and there! Mine also has a small dent and scratch on the tank but not from a wreck...it was an actual attempted theft! I got lucky, though. RC's are kinda like crx's....hard to find in damned good condition and when you DO find one like that, expect to pay a good penny for it. Look to see if it has been safety-wired for track? Any engine leaks. Change ALL fluids. There are several things people may look for and several good RC forums out there to help. Good luck with the bike and enjoy it!
