So I started driving it up and down a long stretch of road @ different rpms and then after about 30 minutes I got on from first second third then this......



Got it towed saw trans fluid leaking and the inside the car it felt like there was no shifter plate or cable.

Just a big loose sloppy circle I could move the stick in.. Wish I could say this was a story about my night with a hooker but sadly its my trans.

so for those of you in the know what does this look and sound like to you? What do you expect the damages to be if I have a shop work on it. Thank you.

 

Shift stablizer bar came off, but I don't know if the transmission housing is broken or if the bolt just came out. Generally popping out of 5th is a good indication of having no transmssion fluid, but with the stabilizer bar laying on the ground it might be something else. Get some better pics of the trans itself and someone might be able to tell you something.

 

If you saw fluid leaking that wasn't leaking before that happened I'd say you have a piece of the case missing. As stated already 5th popouts are due to low fluid. Expect a new 5th sleeve assembly at a minimum. Will likely need several bearings replaced as well.

 

Hopefully that is not the case. I will find out in awhile when the shop gets ahold of me on what was going on, There wasn't a ton of fluid but there was fluid on the ground and I saw some more come out when the tow truck started pulling it up.
