A/C pull help on 1987 Honda Civic
Running an 87 Hatchback DX & looking to get rid of an unused A/C unit.
I replaced the radiator and while I was doing the job I started thinking about the unused A/C system.
I am the 3rd owner, I got it at 134,000 miles and she's just about to turn 150,000.
The A/C belt was already cut when I got the car in 2009, and the guy I bought the car from said the A/C was non-operational when he got it.
I never really cared before, but I'd like to drop the weight (just on principle) and make a little more access room for clean look and accessibility.
Can I just pull the system or are there any plates I need to install to block up holes left behind?
Also, I was thinking of pulling the A/C radiator and putting the "pusher" fan on my cooling radiator for a little extra draft in stop and go traffic.
Please let me know if this a dumb thing to do and how hard a job it will be.
Thanks!

I read on thread at civic club that you can just pull all the parts & since it is beyond emission inspections (in Texas) I can do that until I can afford the plug parts.
Thoughts?

Just remove the compressor, and anything in the way... Does not seem like a big issue. I do not have AC, but the manual seems to show how to do it... Not too syre about the AC bracket, but you will figure it out
