Custom 3" exhaust over LCA Pictures
So I'm making a custom 3" for my CRX. The only part I'm not sure of is at the LCA. There is very little space so I have to think about where I want it to route. I'm trying to tuck the exhaust up toward the body as far as I can and it seems like I can get the exhaust straight through the LCA opening or maybe with a slight "hump." With 2-2.5" exhausts I could do a hump and still have it tucked closely to the body, but with the 3" it looks like I need some tight angles. The muffler will be coming out the passenger side so right after the LCA the muffler starts.
If any of you guys have 3" exhausts on your CRX can you post up how you have the exhaust at the LCA? Thanks.

Did you have a problem with it hanging too low or the top of the hump hitting the frame? Did you use one U-bend or something else to get the shape? Thanks for the response.
no, if you spend enough time getting the fitment right it will tuck and not rattle or rub. Thing is it takes some time to get good fitment. I used all 90* bends and cut and sanded to get the proper angles. All of the fitment is gapless, so it takes some time to sand the fittings on the bench sander to get it perfect. It looks like just two 45's and a 90, but not one of those mandrels is left unsanded. Every single one is sanded to fit the next. I have this one set up with about 1/2" space at the top of the hump and 1/2" tucked up into the body of the car elsewhere. No rubbing or rattling at all. And it doesn't scrape on the ground either. Just gotta take the time on the fitment.

On my CRX it looks like I have about 5-6" above the control arm so it will be kind of tight. My rear coilovers are 12kg/mm spring rates so the control arm shouldn't move up and down very much.
