Icon2 cluster frustration!! please help!

I haven't posted in a while, but since my last post I have gotten my crx running. Although it is running I am having a few problems!

1. My first problem is that the only gauge on my cluster is my Speedo. A while back my tach would randomly work for about 30 seconds after starting my car then it would stop. It would also sometimes stay around 1k rpm and it would fall to zero when I would hit the gas?? I tried re wiring the cluster using a diagram I found on this website, now it never moves at all! My temperature gauge never works and never has. My temp gauge seams to slowly go up or down as I'm driving but it has absolutely nothing to do how much gas I have, usually it slowly moves up???? My cluster lights do not work as well.

INFO ABOUT CAR (USEFULL?):
-When I got the car there were no grounds in the engine bay. I added one from the valve cover to the frame and from the tranny cable bracket to the frame. Am I missing any?

- it has an incomplete mini me swap, it has a d15b2 bottom end and a y8 or z6 head(how do I tell?). It still has the pm6 ecu

Does ANYONE any idea what's going on here?

PLEASE PLEASE HELP! I'M SICK OF NOT KNOWING IF MY CAR IS OVER HEATING AND I'M SICK OF SHAKING MY CAR TO SEE IF I HAVE GAS!

There should be a ground on the thermostat housing
And from what your describing on your gauge cluster mine was doing the same thing
I ended up replacing the cluster and it fixed my problem

Can you possibly post a picture of the thermostat ground? And possibly the a picture of your cluster pinouts?

A couple ways to tell about your head. Google some pictures of z6 and y8 heads you will notice the vtec is on different sides be it the intake or exhause side. Another way is the intake manifolds. Though this will not be a 100% gurantee usually you will find y8 manifolds with y8 heads. You can aslo google up some pictures of those. You will notice the y8 has angled pipes connecting it to the block while the z6 has straight pipes

p28 is always a solid choice and it leaves a lot of options open later on if you chip it.

Can you use a p28 with a y8 dizzy or do you need a z6 dizzy to match the p28?

Yes you can use a p28 with any obd1 or obd2 dizzy, you'll need a jumper harness for the Ecu and either a jumper harness or you'll need to hardwire the plugs for the dizzy
