I'm going to have the same issue. I was planning on notching the area in front of the crossmember to fit the bottom of the radiator. Here's a picture of the spacing I have so you can see if yours has any damage:

I have a cheap POS aluminum radiator for now, but it is supposed to be an EG radiator, so it should be about the same size.

I did the same thing. Notched the lower core support and put the rad in front of the traction bar. I also cut a small section out of the core support by the headlight so it would sit square and tight against the core support. I also had to cut up the hood webbing or it to close.

I thought innovative sells a bracket to make the eg radiator fit with their crossmember? Or is that for something else

eBay rad from an eg

Fits ok with a little trimming. Holding it in place is a different story. I used zip ties and went around the core support. It's in there real tight with the hood closed, and the bottom is sitting on the bottom end of the lower core support.

Looks like the same POS rad that I have, lol. At least I know now that it can "fit".

@wreckeddc4, by trimimg do u mean the hood cuz thats where mine hits, and do you have a pic of how the bottom sits against the traction bar. Ima take some pics of mine when the snow melts off my car and point out where "I" think the problem might be and you can correct me if im wrong. That radiator seem about the same as mine so that give me hope. Good deal thanks guys ima try post those pics later today.

Thats what I have the innovative competition bar with the universal half sized Eg radiator mounts for an Ef but its not a direct drop in and i thought it was thats why i think my core support might bent but now im thinking otherwise.

Yea it works good for the price. I ran the car all motor for most of last season with no fan. Didn't need the fan till I sprayed nitrous.

On my new Ef ill be using a custom radiator in front of the core support where you'd put an intercooler.
