Picking up a '00 Integra - What tools to bring?
First off, I'm new to Honda / Acura, not new to wrenching.
Picking up a clean '00 Integra GS for my son's first car. Helluva a deal, but I always assume the previous owners were ALL idiots, so I need to go over the entire car.
Figured you guys would be the ones to know what common things I should be looking for.
B18B1 / Auto car. 160K.
What I've got planned so far:
- Timing Belt
- Water Pump
- Cam Seals
- Crank seal
- Drive Belts
- VC Gasket set
- Valve check / adjustment
- Air Filter
- Fuel filter
- Auto tranny refill (drain 3, add 3, drain 3 etc)
I'll check the axles, brakes, etc.
Any other common areas / things to look at / check out?

What tools to bring? Is the seller going to let you dismantle the car to check it out?
If its clean, take her for a test drive(make sure she drives straight), check for oil leaks or debris of it, check trunk interior panels and undercarriage for unreported accident/s the vehicle could have been in.
For some insurance bring a leak down tester and simple tools to remove spark plugs to read them while you do a quick test. Should only take 10-15 minutes of the sellers time.
If you plan on going over that list you wrote and knit-picking at gaskets and seals...I doubt any seller would lower the price of an already helluva deal.

Sorry I wasn't more clear on the original post. I was 99.9 percent sure I was already buying the car. I just wanted to grab some tools to have with me for the road trip back to the house in case something decided to take a ****.
Anyway - got the car back home without issue. I've got an exhaust leak somewhere up front to track down first, after that it's simply CLEANING and normal maintenance stuff.
Appreciate the responses.
