i can't get my 09 honda civic si car into reverse no more. usually i'll just pop it into 1st, 2nd and than reverse. some time i'll have to give it a couple of try. now however it just grind and won't go into reverse no matter how much i try. the only way i can it it into reverse is to turn of the car. could it be my clutch master cylinder? any help will be great.

 

How about other gear selection, any sticking, hard shifting, etc. ?

 

Throw out bearing might be shot... is it hard to get into gear when moving?

 

I bought the car at 60k at a honda dealership and now it at 72k. I drove the car around town only and the gear never really give me any problems. reverse will grind sometime but that didn't really bother me. I'll just pop it into gear and than into reverse. Now all my gear feel sticky when going into gear especially first. Sometime i will have a hard getting it into first. Doesn't fell smooth anymore. But my main concern is reverse. It won't go in at all.

Si have lock up solenoid for revers gear, above 12mph you can't go in revers, maybe he is stuck... try first to adjust clutch pedal height ...

 

yeah, was feeling lazy didn't really want to adjust the clutch pedal height until now. after adjusting the clutch pedal reverse problem was gone and all the gears goes in really smooth now. loving it. thanks allot the help.
