Default n/a d17a2

I know these motors are the wrong motors to "go fast" with but im looking do do mild upgrades crower stage 1 cam, full exhaust, and short ram intake. nothing more nothing less. but i just need some opinions on if droping cash in this car is worth it or not. and im not looking to gain large or even mild amounts of horsepower. Just looking for a gain of about 30

How many of these threads are you going to start? What does 30 horsepower get you exactly?
A Google search would have told you all you needed to know.

No different than building any other D-series. Costly and still slow. A waste of time. AND I GUARANTEE that if you've convinced yourself that you only want "a little more power", just shortly after achieving your goals you will want a lot more. Then you will realize how much time and money you wasted on an N/A D-series. Bet a paycheck on it.

I've made 2, and why not? i don't see why you care if i want 30 more horsepower, i just wanted a friendly answer. i have a friend with a stock mini copper s with about 160 hp. and is fun enjoy the amount of power it has. its fun and punch when you need it. im not trying to be a "noob" or whatever you want to call it. im stuck with the car i have for at least a year. and then il still have to sell it and come up with money for a turbo car.

A year. Then it's not worth it. I think you already knew that. And posting the same thing all over the forum is spamming.

With the modifications you're looking to make... you'll see 15 or so whp tops. 30whp gain on an N/A build D17 is a bit extreme (and costly).

Define "worth it."

- If you want a quick(er) car but don't have a real budget, sell the Civic.
- If you want something quick(er) and only want to "splurge" on an eBay turbo kit, sell the Civic.
- If you want something quick(er) and don't mind never getting a return on the cost factor of building a car you'll enjoy driving in the meantime, we can have a real discussion in here.

If you don't care about reliability and just want a little more power, without spending much, you can do as suggested above and spray it until it blows up.

I did the same build couple years ago. I had short ram intake, headers and exhaust. Also threw in a vtec controller just to be able to map the car a little bit. I was content with the power and low end and the end of it. But not going to get much power gains without doing head work.

I doubt you saw more then 1-5whp with all those bolt-ons combined.

If you dont plan on keeping the car more than a year I see it completely pointless.
