Icon3 D16z6 build

What's up guys I'm new to HT. so I got a 94 civic ex stock d16z6 it's got intake dc 4-1 headers to 2-1/4 straight pipe.. I got it tuned recently by ***** in Pelham and dyno'd... First run put 77hp & 99ftlbs torque He changed the plugs and did second run and put down 122hp & 109ftlbs torque.. Then he did some adjusting (said my vtec hit and it was running lean when vtec hit) and on third run hit 123 and 109 again but that was only 2nd gear pull cuz my third gear was f**** up and wouldn't go into gear... I put 35$ worth of gas in and after using 130 miles I'm already lower then half tank... I'm running 89 mid grade...

My question is does anyone think he messed up the tune? And should I be using 93 instead?? Also I want lol more power but cost efficient and no turbo

Thanks in advance for any help or advice I appriciate

No way of really telling since you never got a pull from third gear.
Since your car wasnt "built", i dont see why your car was tuned on anything less than 87 octane.
What program did he use to tune it?
Chrome, Hondata?
The bolt on items you listed would give you minimal gains if any at all, so thinking you would have HP gains of any significance from them would be small..
IDK if id say he messed up a tune in as much as he should of known better to think there would be any hp gains in the first place.

Did he give you any ideas or lead you to believe you would see any hp gains?

I got the s300 from him and he socketed it into my p28 and then put on dyno..i also got the tranny replaced friday..and he said he could do a base map but i asked for the dyno cuz i was currious on the numbers...i kno d16 isnt gonna put out high numbers but just curious...i kinda wanna build it up since everyone where im from has b series swaps and no1 rocking single slammers...the car does pull strong and vtec pops like gsr vtec...and no he never said id gain power but once i said dyno he got happy cuz thats nore money n his pocket
