F23A with D15 ECU?
I was checking to see which ECU My '94 Honda Accord has and I found the following:
37820-P08-A01
According to http://www.rywire.com/catalog/identi...r-ecu-a-6.html that would make my ECU from a D15 JDM Civic with VTEC.
I have a F23A Motor which was installed before I purchased the car and I was wondering if this ECU might be installed to activate VTEC? Advantages or disadvantages of this combination of motor and ECU?

How does it run?
Other than the fact that the P08 is based on a 1.5L with a VTEC engagement @ 4800 RPM and a red line of 7200 RPM. Vs the F23's 2.3L and VTEC engagement @ 3200 RPM and the power band is lower than the JDM D15. The fuel and ignition maps may not work 100%.
That being said, as long as it isn't running really lean, no driveability issues and the CEL isn't on you could be OK.

My Accord runs great. No CEL, I feel like it has good torque, I can't hear VTEC engage like I could on my '95 Civic D16Y8. I drive 120 miles a day commute and average over 31MPG. I don't know how to determine if it is running lean.
