Icon2 2000 civic si jdm b16 died while driving wont start

I have searched cant find a thing. I had just changed the radiator due to a leak. Drove around the block lost thottle responce and then gained it again and then lost it and my engine shut off. During this my spedometrer and rpm gauge were going haywire. Now car will not start and the ecu is making a loud humming noise when i try to start the engine. Any idea?

I had a very similar problem, except my gauges were fine. Long story short, my water pump was where the coolant was leaking. Hot coolant was constantly spilling onto my timing chain. I found this after buying a new motor and tearing the old one apart.

Check all of your grounds. Then check for fuel and spark. If you are missing both then check the main EFI relay. If you have fuel and no spark then check the dist. If you have spark and no fuel check your fuel pump.

Went back outside after the original post and went over all the basics. Turns out the thermostat ground was lose but ever since then I have had extream electrical problems fuse blowing ect. Also the previous owner had the condenser fan relay and the a/c clutch relay jumped with a piece of wire

so electrical problems may occur cause of an issue in the ecu due to the loose ground? In my original post I stated the ecu was making a loud humming noise when it was actually the efi main relay

If you have fuel and spark... you are either out of mechanical timing or have low compression.

170 is low for a b16 mines at 210 on all cylinders

It is low because it has 9:1:1 compression pistons
