1996 Honda Civic Hatchback

ok so I bought a completely stripped shell! I was able to find a complete interior for 200 dollars and it was a 99-00 hatchback floor harness. I have auto climate control.

I bought a d16y8 vtec motor came complete with p2p ecu. I read up that 96+ was the same however car is not starting.

My question is the engine harness would be the same no matter year right? any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

OH! and btw two minor problems but maybe the cause there is three plugs coming out of the floor harness for the rear fuel pump only two are connected one is MIA completely coming from the car not the floor harness

ALSO! Check Engine Light does not turn on at all even when on position for key. NO LIGHT WHAT SO EVER.

 

96-98 and 99-00 harnesses differ. You can't combine 96-98 engine harness and 99-00 cabin harness and vice versa:

You'll need to match up harnesses. If you're using a 99-00 dx cabin harness you'll need a 99-00 dx engine harness.

however I did find a brown plug! is that for the relay on the inside of the dash? or what else would it be?

any idea on the rear plug for fuel pump?

 

DAM! ok hondapartshero I beileve the motor is off a 99-00 Coupe EX d16y8 WITH Vtec

and the cabin harness is a 99-00 HATCH unsure of model :/ thats a no go?
