My hatch has 91 LS swap in it (b18a1). I was replacing the the blown head gasket and inspecting the head, i noticed the cam journals on the exhust were mushroomed out, not a smooth mirror finsh. I took it to a machine shop and they told me it was too far gone, and oil starvation was to be blame for. So, after many trips to junkyards and no sucess. I gave up on bought a head from a speed shop. Another LS head. So, inspecting the head, it look good and I bought it. It also came with intake. But from what I found on google, it probley came from a newer b18b1. I was wondering If I could use the b18b1head and intake on my block. I was thinking of just putting the dizzy and hooking up the hoses and call it a day. but some hoses are located in different places.

Do i have to do anything special?

 

for the dizzy use the obd0 unless your coverting it to obd1.
and for the intake manifold the map sensor is located on top of the throttle body.
Doesnt matter which map sensor you use, the one on the firewall or throttle body.
Also use your stock injectors if you using resistor box

 

Ok, so the vacuum hoses should still be fine? what is a resistor box? Thanks for the info

 

the little silver box that sits on your shock tower that has a green plug are the resistors for the injectors.
