question on possibly identifying a head.
What can i look for to tell if my head is obd0 or obd1, Just realized my swap has a obd0 intake mani on it and the swap itself is supposed to be obd1, just trying to find out if they swapped the whole head or just the intake manifold. I know the cam profiles are different on the two, and that the oil system is alittle different but anything noticably different without having to remove the valvecover?
by the way its b16a.
any reply is appreciated.

Look in between/above the exhaust ports of cylinders 3+4. You'll see numbers and cirlces cast into the head, something like (#|#) (#|#) (#|#) (#|#). Look at the first two, that is the date that the head was cast (ignore the other two).
I'll use my OBD1 PR3 head as an example, mine is stamped (9|1) (0|9) = 1991 September, which means it was cast in late '91 to be sold as a '92.
Now if the first one says (9|0) you can be certain that the head is from an OBD0 car.
Hope that helps!

Re: question on possibly identifying a head. (mcvtec)
yeah that helped alot actually. I appreciate that, one more question if you will.
The reasoning for the first question is because im trying to locate the right iacv.
I've purchased two from fellow ht members, both have promised that they came off of obd1 b16's. Both have arrived on time, but they were both the same (black denso plug clip) but they dont bolt up properly, the one that came off of my motor doesnt have the black denso part and the bolts are sperated farther apart then the ones i've recieved.
I know that obd0 intake mani's have the iacv's im describing but i have a friend with a stock del sol vtec with a b16a3 and he has the same exact iacv that i took off of my jap spec b16. Im curious as to why im having this issue?
at first i was thinking damn, someone changed my intake mani before the motor got in my hands, but i got it directly from hmotors, so i found it unlikely, not impossible but, not probable.
but now, im for sure my head is obd1, im sure the intake manifold is obd1.
so how many styles of obd1 iacvs are there?
