Got a new DD, tell me what you think.
Hey whats up guys been using this forum for 2 years now and Im finally going to do my first post. First I want to say that this forum has saved my life many times and all the people seem "mostly" cool. Haha.
Okay so I just sold my 93 ej1 and picked up this girl. A 97 teg RS with 150000 miles, clean title and stick. Ive been searching for a while and finally picked this one up. It has new paint, 1 day of course but it doesnt look bad. Super clean black interior and drives beautifully.
My plans for the build are LSv turbo. Ill update with my plans to see what you guys think. Here it is let me know what you guys think.

The hood actually lines up really well it just looks weird in this pic.

This is how it sat when I bought it. Ill update with pics this weekend so you can see it with the Function/Form Type 1s that I picked up. I love this suspension, they get alot of hate but personally I couldnt tell you any problems Ive had with them.

nice. RS is my favorite model because no sunroof.
but im not a fan of turbo. i would pull that stock LS out, clean the bay up and swap in a hearty GSR or H2B and go all suspension route.
clean none the less.
how much did you get it for?
oh and you prolly dont care but someone will tell you this later on

Haha thanks for checking it out guys. You know ive never been a fan of red either but i though it was time for a change, I used to have a White civic and a black silverado and I decided I needed some color in my life lol.
As far as the paint goes It has the new look with those notorious swirls that come with a budget paint job. Im gonna have someone cut and buff it and see if it helps any. The guy said it was "painted in march" but you know how that goes...
As far as the build I wanted to go turbo just so I can keep up with all the factory turbo'd 4s that are out there.
The rims are drags, they are the cp-f replicas but have the polished lip.

Update!! Okay so I havent had alot of spare time but Ive done a few little things. I went with Progress CS-II suspension, and I deleted the rear wiper assembly and the antenna. I also added 10k HIDs. Shes coming along. There will be major upgrades sometime in the near future.
Heres the before and after of the suspension.

After

And for those who are curious heres the suspension

The suspension is awesome I would recommend it. I went with 350/350 and I love the feel.

Very nice progress and very nice find.
I went with Progress CSII's 350/350 as well and the suspension is very impressive and feels amazing. Only thing I do not like about them is that they already have a considerable amount of surface rust on the sleeves, which is weird because I assumed it was stainless.
Anyways, looks a whole lot better dropped. I'm in for the progress.

I haven't heard about the rust problem. I live in the desert so maybe I won't have to worry about that
I have this as well. I believe it is some sort of coated aluminum. The oxidation cleans off very easily and leaves what appears to be a clean surface, but it is disconcerting.
